Amarillo snubbed on other post-season honors, chasing third-consecutive league championship
AMARILLO, TX -The United League of Independent Professional Baseball announced their season awards yesterday which include honors from Most Valuable Player to Newspaper of the Year. Out of the nine possible categories, the Dillas received honors in just one with first-year outfielder Adam DeLaGarza earning Rookie of the Year.
Lowe shuts down WhiteWings 6-1; Dillas win series 2-0
For the third straight season, the Amarillo Dillas are headed to the United League Championship Series after starting pitcher Ronald Lowe handled the Rio Grande Valley WhiteWings with a complete game 6-1 victory and a 2-0 semifinal series win on Wednesday night in front of 1,368 fans at the Amarillo National Bank Dilla Villa.
